Vu au Hellfest 2022…j’ ak versé des larmes et après je riais heureuse d’ être là et qu il nous ait tant donné…
Je relève du report " des paroles et des refrains chantées à l’unisson à s’en péter la voix, des émotions à la fois personnelles et collectives qui viennent être hurlées ici, ensemble, à partager ces instants précieux qui font du vague-à-l’âme un élément qui permet de faire communauté en l’exorcisant à plusieurs."

Merci pour cette nouvelle liste de chroniques, qui me permet notamment de rattraper mon retard d’écoute du dernier EYES. Merci à ton camarade pour sa chronique ! Et pour répondre à son interrogation finale au sujet de l’intro façon animé japonais qui le surprend et la trouve hors sujet, voici de qui en est dit sur le site du label (l’intro prend tout son sens du coup, avec ce rappel à l’aspect parfois gentillet des visuels de certains mangas, mais avec une histoire lourde et sombre) :
« Through the lens of a fictional early 80s anime episode, vocalist Victor Kaas puts himself under the microscope, exploring events and emotions in his own life. SPINNER is heavily inspired by manga author Asano Inio, specifically his works Goodnight Punpun and Dead Dead Demon’s De De De Destruction. The cast of characters that Victor introduces us to across the course of the album serve as a proxy for unravelling and processing traumas in youth and early adulthood as he scrutinises his past self. The SPINNER universe that EYES have built is a place to escape to, to shake off demons and start anew from a place of acceptance ».
