I took the tipi option in 2018 & 2019 and again this year and can confirm that if you don’t take the comfort option then all you get is the mattress and a lamp. The hellfest website also confirm this for this year.
Tipi duo : 1 tipi 3m in diameter with 2 mattresses and 1 lamp: €290
duo comfort formula : 1 lamp and 2 comfort kits (foam mattress with fireproof cover, duvet 140 x 200 cm, pillow 60 x 60 cm, bed sheets, bath sheets, hygiene kit): €422
We purchased 3 tripod camping stools for sitting outside the tipi and there are camping chairs in the covered social areas of easy camp where you can also charge your phone.
The hellfest app has an update available this morning that allows cashless via the app, I am on iPhone and had to check for the update in the App Store, once updated you can log into your cashless account from app.

Hello all fellow festival goers! The time is drawing nearer and I stopped to think with my mate that damn, we dont really have a (cheap) option to bring our tent and other miscellaneous camping gear with us. We are flying to Nantes for the 2nd weekend of HF from Finland on wednesday and will be staying for a week (thu-mon at festival grounds, otherwise Nantes). It is also our first time at HF and pretty much first bigger festival outside our country for that matter! Anyway, my question for you more experienced goers and/or locals: Is it a valid choice to fly to Nantes and buy a tent there for the weekend? I tried to look online but alas almost everything is in french and sadly I don’t speak it. Where should I look for on the internet for a camping gear/tent shop in Nantes or could you refer some sites for me? We need nothing fancy, just something over our heads. Also if someone more local has a spare tent that can fit 2 people I’m sure it’ll be enough for us and we could work something out!
Anyway, cheers to you all! Dying to get there in a bit over 2 weeks to celebrate great music and to share beers with you all!
You have the choice of two supermarkets that should be well stocked in perpetration when you arrive, you have the Super U near the east car park and the Lerlerc in Clisson by the festival. Both of these should stock tents, I’ve never used the Super U but I’m guessing they will have them, the Lerlerc pretty much had everything you would need. If your flying onto Nantes then are plenty of choices including Decathlon stores. Hope this helps. Hopefully a local will be able to give you more guidance.
Easy Camp was for you but it’s too late. There is a Intersport in Clisson ( same stuff than Decathlon) not far from the Leclerc Supermarket but I’m not absolutely sure they have camping equipment.
Was there any further communication on the cracy train from Paris?
I feel like I missed something after the last mail on April 28th.
Just wanted to shortly check in if there are any further details on the Crazy Train from Paris to Hellfest on the 22.06 that were send after the very generic info from teh mail from the Thu, Apr 28, 2022, 2:11 PM Crazy train horaires et informations 2022 - Crazy train schedules and informations 2022
The question now would be :
are there any further details on the platform the train will start from? Are there allocated seeds?
itz only mentioned be there 1 hour before departure, but not were exactly?
Did we just miss the mail or was there no further details send
Departing tracks are NEVER mentioned in France. Not with regular trains either!
They’ll announce it in the station.
Since all Paris (main) stations are terminus stations, you should fairly easilly see where it will depart from. And in worst case, there’s always someone of the SNCF who can help you out (in English with a horrible accent, I have to admit! At least, that’s MY experience.)
And as far as I know, it’s an « open » train, meaning: no allocated seats. First come, first serve.
This is all the info available on the forum. (and typically French to do)
Hello all, first time in Hellfest but have been in other big metal fest as well. I would like to ask what is the typical wheather during the fest and what sort of clothing should i bring. A t-shirt and a short trouser is it good enough for the late night concerts? How about mud if it rains? Should i bring my wacken boots or things are more clear here and an old pair of dry shoes are good enough?
I’d say, try to look for the forecasts for Clisson (44190?)!
I went in '15 and '16, and both editions were HOT, where in '15 it was even warmer than in 16.
But AFAIK, it will be warm.
Still, prepare some warm clothing (and shoes) because there’s NOTHING so changeable as the weather!
I’m used to Dutch weather, where it can be nice the first day, and the 2nd day it’s raining cats and dogs, and all that comes along with it!
Nights can be a bit chilly, especially if you’ve sweated in a mosh pit for a while. Not unusual to have temperatures below 15°C at night. So unless there’s a heat wave (some forecasts indicate a potential heat wave for HF1, but others don’t), bring a sweatshirt or anythiing warm for the night
If it rains a little, no mud issue. Mosh pits in front of outdoor scenes (mainstages and war zone) are paved. And they have a highly resisting loan elsewhere.
Of course, if there’s a strom and if it rains cats and dogs for hours, all this will be transformed into mud… But I’ve never experienced such a bad weather since I started to come to the Hellfest every year, in 2014
Hello everybody, this will be my first Hellfest and I have a question. I bought the ticket for week 2 incl. bus from Paris with Ontours. However, the last message I received from them came on April 12 (I filled out the form as they asked) and since then, nothing. So I have no information regarding the bus, time and place of departure etc. Does anybody else have the same problem, or have you received the information already? Thank you
