Thought I’d introduce myself as per the original post - I’ve now turned 50 but still love my festivals, as far as I am concerned 'tis but only a number and you will normally catch us old buggers in the mosh showing the youngsters how it’s done :-). I went to Hellfest for the first time last year with 5 friends, one of whom I have been going to gigs with since the early 80s (yes we did see all the cool bands!). Despite having our tent broken into whilst we were asleep (I would strongly recommend getting a locker) we had an awesome time and having endured the mud and rain at Download on far too many occasions it was so nice to have good weather. All the same mob are going again this year. I still love my Classic rock and early metal bands but do try and keep my ear to the ground for the new stuff - love Rammstein DTP Clutch Ghost Mastodon and a mass of other stuff far too many to list here, I’ve got a busy June and have gigs or festivals every weekend, off to see AC/DC at the Olympic stadium on the 4th where I will be taking my son to his first concert, then Download on the 9th, followed by Hellfest, then off to see Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow in Birmingham on 25th after which I will be officially poor and will be going into detox to let my liver recover! Finally, yes I do have a very understanding wife

This year will be my first ever Hellfest, and only my second ever festival after Download 2 years ago!

I’m from Argentina, 26 years old. This will be my first time, not only at Hellfest, but in Europe.
I’m going all alone, I wanted to buy the easy-camp tent but they quickly sold out. So I guess I’ll have to bring my own tent and sleeping bag.
Doom, black and thrash metal are my favorite metal styles.
I can’t wait to get there!

New here and this will be my first HF… super excited about it.
I live in Geneva, Switzerland. Originally from Brazil. I’ll be driving to the festival with a friend.
Got a very open mind for music and I think there’s a time for every kind. I am looking forward to get to know new bands and styles.
We will be leaving Geneva early in the evening of the 17th, it’s a long drive (about 7h30) and we’re probably going to make a couple of stops.
Would love to be there and get started on the drinks with you guys and possibly make some friends, but won’t be there till late in the night (or very early morning).
So, a quick question…
Will there be other occasions where the members here get together apart from the 19h00 drinks (apero)?

@Sebbath : Near the festival there will be a supermarket (Leclerc) which sales camping furnitures. And a Sportshop will be open in the festival. Maybe you will not have to bring all your stuffs.

Hello, I’m from Portsmouth, England. This will be my second hellfest after 2007 when I was 17. Arriving on the Monday before the festival starts in nantes with my girlfriend and my tag along brother. Looking forward to possibly meeting you crazy people and having a few beers along the way
