Hello
Im arriving tommorow night, i was just wondering, will hellfest be signposted from the (clisson) train station so i will know which way to walk?
Not signposted but enough metalheads to follow don’t worry it’s an easy walk
is it a good idea to take bermuda shorts? or is it to cold to wear them? cuase i tought since it was summer it would be hot but im looking at weather reports and it seems cold! waht u reccomend? is it cold in paris too?
This is quite a cold summer so far. Bermuda shorts will be OK til late afternoon. You’ll freeze your balls afterwards…
thanks, and another question bnefor i hit the airport, would it be a good idea to bring an extra pair of tennis shoes for in case the first one gets covered in mud if it rains?
Definitely!
I’m arriving tomorrow, but have to be back at Nantes Airport for my flight back at 10am Saturday morning. I’ve a couple of questions.
Is there somewhere to hang about once all the bands are finished? Looking to put some time in before i go back to the airport.
i’ve checked all the travel details on this sight, but wondering what’s the best way to get back to the Airport? I probably need to be there for around 8am.
Many thanks

Hi guys, we are Aussies looking at coming to Hellfest as part of our European Rock Festivals tour around Europe and we are staying at a hotel in Nantes. Can you please tell us what is the best way of getting to and from the festival each day? Your help would be appreciated. Cheers
I think there’s a shuttle service to bring you to the festival and back to Nantes after the concerts. But beware, it’s not free !
This is what was on for Hellfest 2012 regarding shuttles (taken from the officiel website, knowing that it will roughly be the same thing in 2013 :
We remind you that you must book in advance your trip from the airport with Hellfest shuttles !
Minibuses will take those interested from the station in Clisson to the festival entrance or the camp site (or any other destination in Clisson) for only 2 Euros per journey. This service runs from the afternoon of Thursday the 14th of June to Monday afternoon on the 18th of June. There will be shuttles ready for each trains arriving at Clisson trainstation!
To go to Nantes, some shuttle buses will require a minimum of 5 people for a journey. The cost will be 10 Euros per person to travel during the day, and 15 Euros to travel at night
The same local taxi firm from Clisson will take you from the airport in Nantes to Clisson for 10 Euros per person during the day and 15 Euros during the night with a minimum of 5 people per journey. This service is also available of the last day of the festival and the day after.
IMPORTANT: WE REMIND YOU AGAIN THAT YOU MUST BOOK YOUR TRIPS FROM THE AIRPORT IN ADVANCE THROUGH TAXI DOUILLARD COMPANY. A WRITTEN RESERVATION WILL BE GIVEN BY THE COMPANY WHEN YOU’LL BOOK THE TRIP. YOU SHOULD GIVE IT TO THE TAXI DRIVERS OF THE TAXI DOUILLARD COMPANY TO BE ACCEPTED!
The taxi company Douillard will not be allowed to take you over without this proof of booking and you will be forced to take other taxi companies.

If you choose to go to Clisson, make sure you get the schedules in advance : it’s not like there is a train every hour unfortunately…
As soon as the full bill will be out, you’ll get a topic for « carpooling ». Check it out, as there are many people coming from and getting back to Nantes each day!
Thank you guys that is fantastic. We were wanting to ensure we could get to and from the festival each day before we bought our tickets. We are doing Sweden Rock and Downdload Festivals so far and these are all similar so we will keep a look out for the names of the shuttle companies we may be able to book with and the carpooling from Nantes as our hotel is opposite the Nantes train station. Looking forward to rock n rolling and drinking lots of beer…after all we are Australian!! Cheers
our adult will be inside the festival before us, can he come get us and take us into the festival even though he will already be inside?
Yes. His wristband will allow him to get in and out as many times as he likes.
