I can only speculate. I think that might be cos Argon also do hotel packages, so it is easy to identify the difference. Also, lots of Brits use Argon, and some of the English festivals charge separately for camping - so it makes it easier for us Brits to understand. You’re right though - the 3 day pass is all in.
Probably because the trip is shorter from Paris !
The good thing with the Argon offer is that you get to Clisson on Thurdsay. Instead of Friday mid-morning with the French offer, knowing that the first band will hit the stage at 11am and that the campsite will already be quite packed by then…
hm that IS something to think about. My airfare would also be fairly cheaper going to London instead of Paris. Maybe even enough to make up the difference.
Also I saw the question asked earlier, but is there somewhere to buy a tent, near the fest site?
sorry for all the questions but would everyone recommend that I maybe pick one up en route to the campsite? or would I be okay getting there on Thursday and procuring one…
I forwarded your question on the French part of the forum too. I’ll post answers here.
The supermarket (called Leclerc) is making a shitload of money during the festival : you can be sure they will try their best to have enough beers, tents, etc.
Quick question; how far is Place de la Nation from CDG airport? How could I get there from the CDG airport in the middle of the night between 17th-18th June somewhere around 11-12pm? Our flight would be in Paris at about 11pm in the evening of 17th if it is on time and then the bus departures from Place de la Nation at 2am in the night.
CDG airport => Paris = 23 kms (mainly motorway-type roads).
Cab is the safest solution (about 60€). You can use the Parisian public transport system too but that would be very thight for a 2am departure !
Landing at 11pm means you’ll only leave the airport a few minutes before midnight.
@NoneSoVile :
regarding tents, from what I gathered on the French part of the forum : some people found vey cheap tents at Leclerc’s and there seems to be a sport shop nearby Leclerc (very short walking distance) that sells tents too.
Regarding the camping, does it get really really crowdy (i mean, were you can really feel suffocated hahaha) ? coz it’s probable we’ll not make it on thursday (most will have arrived by then), so just to know if it aint like everyone squizzed (got a few bad experiences in some festivals were the free space was clearly not in proportion with the attendance…)
