Your questions about Hellfest!

Dann mach das Abenteuer, und nimm den Bus und Zug nach Clisson.

Leider kann ich dich nicht abholen, bin selbst erst gegen 5 am Bf Nantes. (Donnerstag, den 16. )

Hi I have left a detailed paragraph about the shuttles to Nantes earlier on in this thread. In short not a very good experience. The drivers do not want to take you to Nantes because they can make more money on the shorter journeys into Clisson

For Nantes you will need to book, i had to last year and even then when we turned up with the paperwork they said we had no booking!
Clisson I believe not as it is only a 10 minute ride, Nantes is 30mins +

Since the Information on the official page and the FAQ is quite sparse, I have to ask you guys.

How does the whole Camping Setup work?
They open the gates somewhen at Thursday and then everybody rushes to the front to get a place near the entrance so that they don´t have to walk for ages? (I assume the campground is quite big looking at the ticketnumbers)

I will be arriving on Thursday and plan to park my bike at the « guitar » as some of you recommended (hope that is possible this year)

You can go wherever you want to on the camping.

I don’t like to be near the entrance, I prefer a place more quiet.

What would you guys say is a reasonable amount of euro’s to take? I honestly have no clue, though I did manage 5 day’s of Download with about £85 to my name which I thought was pretty good.
I would very much like to not run out of beer and cigarettes… or food I guess.

As ordinairy cash?
If only on cash, I wouldn’t take that much, and use the ATM at the festival site to get your €uros. The exchange is (most of the time) a bit cheaper than at an exchange office.
Mind, cigarettes cannot be sold ON the festival area. Either buy beforehand, or at the Leclerc nearby (if that’s possible, I don’t know, otherwise at the airport/railway station, all according to your circonstances)
I reckon £50 (to exchange) should be enough to start with, the rest eventually take at the ATM.

Thanks Quark.
Though I do not like using ATM’s outside of the UK, my bank likes to charge me a percentage of the withdrawal.
Security-wise, I have a locker reserved so I’m not too concerned with taking cash. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on the total cost of Hellfest living.

Well, my bank does the same in the UK. (a percentage and the cost of exchange)
Nonetheless…
However, if you want to exchange here, it’s fine.

How much to take?
It depends if:
you drink a lot
you eat a lot
you buy a lot of merch
you buy everything at the festival area/metal corner etc
what you like to spend outside the fest/during your trip (depending on how you travel etc)

A beer infield (0.28l is €2.50
A Grimbergen is €3.50
I don’t know about the rest. So…

Can you also rent lockers when you are there or do you have to prebook them?

Can´t find anything about it

if it remains, you can rent them on site

ah ok, thx, now I also found it, guess it helps if you click on « info »

guess I´ll better preorder

hope it works without credit Card and there is still something available when I´m back home tonight

Hey guys,

have some questions.

Tickets: I bought 5 tickets and on every ticket is my name. Is that a problem for the 4 other guys?

We come by car and probably arrive in Clisson in the morning about 8 a.m. because we try to get a parking place as close to the campsite as possible. When does the parking open? Is heavy traffic expected for that time? Is it early enough to get a « good Place »? How far is the parking from the camping? Beside all the other stuff we bring a guy with a wheelchair…

Aaahh, forgot an important one !!! Is there a possibility to watch Germany - Poland on thursday ??? :o

Hello
Not a problem for the name.
8 am, on Thursday? If you have a guy with a wheelchair, maybe you could park on a special parking for disabled people (near the entrance [url=http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=491335parkinghellfest.png] I think it is the « red » parking). Tell the volunteer in charge of the parking and they will guide you.

Some football games will be broadcasted during the festival but I don’t know which ones.

O.k., thanks

But we have two cars. Probably the car without this guy have to park in the blue marked areas, right?
Do you expect many people coming at this time in the morning?

Probably yes.
I don’t know, parking are not supposed to be open at 8 am. Don’t worry you will park your car

Does he have a parking card for the disabled? (the thing you use to get a disabled parking space)
Then that shouldn’t be a problem. The other one has bad luck. (like you said)
And don’t forget, ALL must have a ticket. The GUIDE as well! (I’ve asked it last year, and there’s no free entrance for the guide)
There is however a special place to get your wristbands. Look for a stand with PMR written on it.

We don’t have a parking card for disabled. Where can we get it?

At your LOCAL municipality/social center/I don’t’know how your system works!
Pick one of those 3.
The particular service that provides a degree of disability, that gives the disability IDs (all depending on the country you live in)
