I was wondering, where do we park the car at Hellfest, is it just at the camping itself just as in Wacken of is it way outside of the terrain and you have to walk miles with all your bagage? because that shit sucks.
Sorry to tell you that but yeah, the parking is fucked up.
Depending on when you arrive, the parking lots are between 5 and 30 minutes away from the Festival/Camping area, also of course depending on how much stuff you have and how much gear you Need to carry.
I was also quite fucked last year, when I arrived on bike and didn´t want to leave half of my stuff on the bike, because I couldn´t carry it in one trip because the way was so long.

Just want to clarify something: it says that no BBQs or anything are allowed on the FAQ. I just wanted to make sure that this includes solid fuel stoves? I’m assuming it does, but just want to be sure.

Alright, thanks. Any idea why there is a complete ban? Not allowing gas stoves makes perfect sense, but this is the first instance I’ve seen of a blanket ban.
There’s virtually no space between tents, so any (open) fire may result in an inferno. So that’s why no fire is allowed. (except a lighter to light up your cigaret)

Just wondering what the main differences are (between download and hellfest) with regards to stuff like payments (cashless? atms?), prices for merch and food, size of the site etc. Basically stuff that a first time visitor to hellfest should know.
We’re staying at a hotel near by (part of a package) as camping at dl last year nearly killed me off. As a treat for my 30th (in jan) I booked this on the recommendation of a friend. However its struck me just how different it might be here.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

well this year they had a cashless Card for beer and the oficiall hellfest Food stands. At all the other Food stands you paid just normally.
Of course we don´t know how they will do it next year since it was a bit stupid that you could use the cashless only for a handfull of things and the vast majority demanded normal payments.
ATMs did exist.

How far is Torcy from Paris then? (FoS)
Torcy is just near Disneyland Paris, you can arrive directly to Disney train station, than take RER for 2 stations 
Did briefly consider the download in paris but im refering to the uk one. Sounds like its very similar so far just so much more well planned.
Download did completely cashless in 2015 and for a large number of people it was a disaster.
