Your questions about Hellfest!

Except that Fall of Summer clearly state that they aren’t a parisian festival

I’ve never been, but this does seem a bit weird. Surely the whole point of cashless is so you don’t carry cash around. With most of the vendors demanding cash, isn’t it just more hassle? Just seems odd to me, although I can understand why a vendor might not want to accept cashless.

True,

although I have to say I don´t like cashless in general, because it always forces you, to put XXX€ on the Card and either you put just a little on it and have to refill it all the time, or you put a lot on it and et the end of the festival are stuck with a cashless card with 50€ still on it, that you can´t get refunded (which is the real stupid Thing in my opinion)

Cashless is not safer than cash because the Card can just as easily be stolen.

Plus with cash I can carry 20€ in my normal pockets and for example another 200 in the hard to reach, zipped inside pocket.

Hellfest has announced they will refund the cash at the end of the festival for 2017.

Some fest put the cashless on their wristband so the « card » cannot be lost or stolen.

Ah didn´t know that about the cash refund option.
Guess it was a news in the french part of the forum?

The question is just how they will do it, because a clever businessman would make it so complicated or time consuming (imagine one cashless to cash machine for all people) that most would just forfeit the money.

Cashless on the wristband would be interesting, even if I don´t know how this would work technically.

Concerning the refund, based on previous experience, you just have to go on the website of the cashless provider, enter your rib and the serial number of the cashless. but i know that some fest have a direct refund in cash at the end of the fest, and this is a mess
The cashless, on other festivals like Donwload, put a mini plastic card on the wristband. Like Hellfest have done on 2015 for controlling the entry.

They’ve only just brought this in now? Wow. Can I just ask though, regarding the cashless thing. I’m assuming you need a cashless card to buy drinks at the bar? I ask because I was wondering if it was possible to avoid just bothering with the card.

Sorry Amata, you need a cashless card to buy drinks at the bar

Hi there! Sorry if the question has been asked previously, but can you please tell me if the shuttle service runs throughout the duration of the festival? And where it says about the minimum of 5 people per shuttle, do you have to the make numbers up yourself, or do they just wait until there are at lest 5 people waiting to go? Are the shuttles frequent/reliable?

Also, i haven’t been to Hellfest sine the 2010 festival and all i recall was the horror of the campground toilets. Has this improved over time, or are they still horrifying? Trying to weigh up staying in Nantes and utilising shuttles, or camping.

Cheers,
Sarah.

hi Masteroflunacy,

All informations for shuttle service can be read here:
http://www.hellfest.fr/en/infospratique/les-navettes/

For more information, you can contact directly Douillard taxi:
Phone : 0033 (0)2 28 21 49 77
Mail : hellfest.navette@gmail.com

For the camping, and particularly the toilets, it’s better than in 2010 ;).
The best solution is to book an Easy camp: more expansive but no material needed from your side.

Thanks Mac Seb. I’d love to get one of the Easy Camp packages, but the website says it’s already sold out?

Easycamp isn’t sold out for 2017 as it not yet in place. It’s Easycamp 2016 witch is soldout

Ah i see where my confusion is then! Thanks for clearing that up for me, i would definitely been keen to get an easy camp…I’ll keep an eye out for when they go on sale!! Cheers Pok!

Hey there! This will be my first time going to an Open Air Festival outside of Portugal and since I’m not a frequent traveler (mostly because of my job), I’m still pretty new to involving myself with a foreigner city’s transportation routes. If you could help, what route would you recommend for someone who’s arriving at the Nantes airport and has to catch a train to Clisson?

Hi folks. Hope all’s well. Can’t wait for Hellfest!

A couple of queries. Do we know when the cashless system will be accessible? Hoping for some clarity on what can be purchased and how top ups will work (or not work!) this time. Also keen to understand how unspent cash on previous cards can be redeemed.

Also, we plan to arrive a little earlier this year. Is there a way to avoid parking quite so far from the site at all?

Thanks!

You can take shuttles at the airport directly to Hellfest:
http://www.hellfest.fr/en/infospratique/les-navettes/

No information yet for cashless, only the one on the website:
http://www.hellfest.fr/en/infospratique/the-cashless-system/

For parking, if you don’t want to walk, it’s better to arrive earlier on thursday morning

Thanks Mac Seb - big journey but we will try!

Hi People.
I have just 2 little Questions. A friend and i want to visit Hellfest this year. We want to buy our ticket at « digitick.com ». Everything fine so far. The only thing we dont get is, at wich time will the bus drive at our location (Straßbourg) and where? Or do you get this information when you get your tickets delivered? And whats about that thing with the tickets. You get a bill, and have to change this there against the real ticket? Did i get this right? Thank you very much for an answer.
Sorry if this was asked before, but i didnt want to read 48 pages on my small mobile phone. ]
Greetings

Moin,

Also, einfach abwarten hier.

Hoffentlich hat es Dich geholfen.
