Your questions about Hellfest!

Hey, great maps, thanks for that!

I’m not sure if I get this right, so if we’re on very early (about what time we’re talking about?) we can park on the street for the duration of the festival or just to unload our stuff. Or does closing the street means that there will be no traffic anymore even no non-festival-guests?

Sorry for the many questions, but usually I like to plan my trips, escpecially the longer ones, quite well.

So würde ich es auch verstehen. Parken während des ganzen Fests, Straße gesperrt für alle Verkehr. Auch Nicht-Festivalgänger.
That’s what I understand as well. Park your car during the fest. Street blocked for all traffic. Non festival goers as well.

We are only talking about the big street in front of the festival entrance (D149 on the map). When it’s full, you can’t go here, like other parkings. But you can move your car outside if you want to leave!
I’ve never understood when this street is available for parking. My first hellfest, I arrived on Thursday about 10pm and was parked here. 2 years ago, friends of mine arrived about 11pm on Thursday and they were parked like 5 minutes from the entrance on this road! Whereas my friends and I arrived at 2pm and we were on the parking near Leclerc supermarket. Every year I arrived sooner and I parked further
But don’t worry there are people to guide you to the best place!

ZZ chr : seriously, the one in the field?? I’ve never parked further than the bridge so I don’t know.

Yes, there is one behind the ZI/ZAC La Fournerie. Very quiet, with soft grass ( ) but small and far away from L.A. H.F.

Thought the campsite opened on thursday?!
So is there also the possibility, like on WOA, to stay the whole week there?

Oups, I meant Thursday and not Tuesday  sorry
Sometimes they open a part of the camp for the first people arrived on Wednesday, but that’s not official. Tuesday would be very soon

Since I would take the whole week for vacation anyway, I could be there on Tuesday…hehe…
But maybe a short trip to the Atlantic coast would be nice…
Are there some nice spots to see which are not too far away from Hellfest?

Clisson is a nice spot. You can go to a nice medival castle (from XII century if I’m correct). in fact the whole city is a medival city. And around you can enjoy some white wine.

Nee, geht nicht.

Ist nicht das Wacken.

Hi, does anyone have any idea when the easy camp tickets go on sale ? Thinking of doing it this year, got there what we thought was good time last year and camping was already stacked!!!

Agreed. We arrived on the Thursday afternoon to find almost no space left last year. Sadly looks like Easy Camp is another way for the organisation to cover costs and/or profit. It’d be great if they did the honourable thing and opened up some more green space - must be limited but it’s not all vineyards around Clisson!

I would like to know everything about security.
I mean stronghold againts terrorists. Many people are saying, do not worry, nothing can happen… let’s go on.
Well, not that easy for me to relax so far. So, police? metal detectors? Road control? Walls? It seems imposible.
I’m sorry about being pesimist, but no one says what about it, like if it’s better not to think about it and keep naive.
Anyone else worried?

Walls ?? Oo Really ?
At Hellfest the only walls are Of Jericho or/and of death

I don’t worry about security because I think no one and nothing can stop a terrorist with a bomb or a firearm. The only thing you can hope is that they will be arrested before by the police or killed before doing too much dead people (and you).
And I must survived Download festival before thinking of surviving Hellfest ]

I guess road controls would be necessary.

Please excuse if these are dumb questions but…

  • If I buy the ordinary 3-day pass (if I can get my hands on one from ZePass), do I have to pay for camping separately?

  • If I have to pay separately, where do I pay for camping?

  • I may not be able to buy a 3-day pass and will be forced to buy 3 1-day passes, am I still able to purchase a camping ticket separately?

Cheers, Luke.

One single answer for your three questions : Camping is free and so you don’t need to buy any separate ticket. Your 3-day pass (hope you’ll find one) is sufficient.

Well I don’t think that camping is free but that its price is included into the pass price

Luke I advise you not to buy 3 one Day tickets… I’m sure you can get a 3days pass on zepass.com or here on the forum. It’s a bit soon for the moment but there will be more and more pass. And one Day ticket are sold really fast, not sure you can get the three days

Thanks for the replies jpkv and Alyann, much appreciated. I’ll keep an eye on the hellfest.zepass.com site and try to grab a 3-day pass. Also, it looks like I’m going to be going on my own, as a 19 year old that isn’t ideal (friend’s music tastes don’t match mine), I imagine it would be ideal to purchase a bus pass that links directly to Hellfest?

You come from UK? In which city will you arrive? Paris? Yes you can buy a 3days pass with bus pass, why not, you will meet people inside
otherwise there are others ways to go to Clisson : train, car pooling (there will be a special section here for that). And we’ll organize an « aperitif » on Thursday to meet each others
