I know this has been asked a few times…but I have yet to see a concrete answer:
how’s the transportation from Nantes to the festival like? both directions-wise?
I’m considering staying in Nantes and wondering how much of a hassle would it be going back and forth to the festival each day.
Do I need to wait long for the shuttles back at night? is the transportation in the day-time convenient?
I would love an answer from someone who had some experience with this.
Thanks.
The german Summerbreeze Festival gives free tickets (about 200 or so I would guess in total) to every Person over 60 in the village next to the festival. They do it, so the older People can take a look and be assured that we aren´t devil worshipping nogooders and to minimise complaints to the Police from locals who just fear the festivalgoes because they don´t know whats going on in there.
From Nantes Airport, ther’s a shuttle, from Nantes city, it’s possible to take the train to Clisson.
From Clisson station there are also shuttles that bring you to the festival. (€2/trip)
I don’t know anything else about the shuttles Nantes-Hellfest though. See the website!
Hi there, I stayed in Nantes last year, at a hotel right next to the Nantes train station. This year… I’m camping. Honestly I found it quite a hassle travelling between the festival and the hotel. The train from Nantes to Clisson took about 20-25 minutes from what I remember, and then there are shuttle mini buses from there to the festival which takes about 10 minutes (roughly). You have to wait for the mini buses at peak times obviously, sometimes though I got one straight away and sometimes had to wait 20 mins. Going back to Nantes on the Thursday night was a hassle as there was no buses running. My two friends got a taxi with another random stranded girl, cost 60 euro (I think, I know it wasn’t cheap). I ended up crashing 3 of the 4 nights in a mates tent instead. You have the added cost of buying train tickets and shuttle buses. I missed a few bands I wanted to see because there was no trains for 2 hours in the middle of the day on Sunday going to Clisson. So for me, I’m choosing to camp this year. Yeah, its nice to have a shower and proper bed, but the trade off is a lot of travelling and extra expense. Get a good tent and you’ll be fine. Anyway, hope this helps (and of course this is just my personal experience)
you have summed it up perfectly! LOL i’ve been thinking to camp every year but still end up at nantes for shower and bed may be this year camping happens

I have a question, I received a digitick email, about changing name of tickest? I suppose you got it too? The thing is, I bought 2 tickets, for me and a friend, and their both in my name, do I have to change the name on one of the tickets?
I tried to log in on the digitick website, but I can’t log in … it says my phone number doen’t have an associated account …
I reckon, you’ll be together while entering, so I don’t think you’ll need to change the name.
Besides, it ws indicated somewhere 9on the French board) that there won’t be an ID check.
Well, we never experienced ID check at the entrance, as we are thousands of people queuing for hours before it opens.
But with the increase of security concerns, I can’t be sure it will be the same this year…
Could be a good question to ask officially on the French part, so that « someone » would give us an answer before the fest.
So, if you have a digitick account, it takes only a couple of seconds to change the name on a ticket
How likely is it that the securities and other workers at hellfest speak english?
I know alot of french people aren’t willing to speak other languages than their own. But I have to admit that my french got a little rusty over the years
